Non-NHS Services

Some things that patients want us to do are not covered under our contract with the NHS and therefore attract charges.

Examples include the following:

• DVLA requested driving medicals. 
• Insurance claim forms
• Private sick notes
• Travel pass applications, excluding passport applications
• Private letters   

Please note we no longer provide private medicals for the following

• Completion of Health Reports for Fostering or Adoption
• Taxi Medicals
• HGV Licence medicals
• Pre-employment Medicals

We do not provide letters for the police for shotgun licence applications.

The fees charged for non NHS work are based on the British Medical Association (BMA) suggested scales and our reception staff will be happy to advise you about them. 

As this is private work not covered under the NHS contract, it can take up to 6 weeks to be completed.

We will contact you either via telephone or SMS text message when it is ready to be collected. All fees are requested in advance of completion of the paperwork.
